- Bailey Field
Bailey Field - Football/Track & Field
Bailey Field is home to SRJC football and men's and women's track and field.
The Bear Cub football team plays on hybrid bermuda grass that sits on a sand base. Bailey Field is considered one of the best playing surfaces in California community college athletics. The eight lane all weather track is a tremendous surface for sprinters and distance runners. Bailey Field has two shot put and two discus rings for field events.
A new state of the art press box was installed on the east side of the stadium in 2002 to compliment the existing press box on the west side of Bailey. Both press boxes provide excellent views for video or film work. The new box is wired for computers to log in statistics or reporting for the local media. This top notch facility is framed by numerous oak trees, including the beautiful oak that sits three yards out of the back of the north end zone.
- Baseball Field
Sypher Baseball Field
Sypher Field is home to the Santa Rosa Junior College Varsity Baseball Team. Sypher is an outstanding, synthetic turf facility that plays fast and true. There is a scoreboard some 40 feet above the fence in left field. Sypher Field has a combination press box and concession stand directly behind the backstop. The facility includes two full length batting cages and five ball toss, and these stations are covered with synthetic turf. To add to the character of the facility, oak trees frame the area outside the playing surface.
- Green Space
Green Space
The beautiful SRJC campus has plenty of green space to enjoy on a sunny day!
- Tennis Courts
Izzy Derkos Tennis Courts
The varsity men's and women's tennis teams play their home matches on a well maintained eight court facility located on the central campus. The courts have a concrete base covered by an acrylic surface. Care has been taken to resurface the courts on an average of every five years, resulting in a medium-slow playing surface.
- Softball Field
Marv Mayes Softball Field
The softball field is located on the south side of the Santa Rosa Campus between Haehl Pavilion and Cook Sypher Baseball Field. Off Armory Drive, parking is available for $4.00 along Bear Cub Drive, with spectator access through the south facing gate. The field includes artificial turf, dugouts, batting cages, and a scoreboard.
- Soccer Field
Cook Sypher Soccer Field
Nestled in the southwest corner of the Santa Rosa Junior College Campus is Cook Sypher Field, home of the Bear Cub soccer teams. Seating over 200 spectators, the bleachers look over the field of competition - a spacious 120 by 80 yards of rye bluegrass.
Plans for improving the soccer field are in the works, given the increasing popularity of soccer that is seen at all levels. Included in the proposed improvements are plans for expanded seating capacity and artificial field turf, among other exciting changes.
